Program Description:
SDSU Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Clinical Experience in Kerala, India
January 4-17, 2017
This program is designed as a short-term international experience to explore and better understand the practice of physical therapy in India. Physical therapy in the context of modern medicine and the current Indian health care system, as well as Ayurveda (traditional Indian medicine), will be studied. There will be discussion, experiential, and reflective components to the experience, including opportunities to compare systems and practices between the US and India, and to work with under-served clients in Kerala, India at the LIAHS community clinic and in the surrounding rural areas.

This program is open to SDSU students enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Students must contact the program director, Dr. Sara Gombatto for approval to apply and submit their completed application by October 21, 2016. 
Participants must complete both an online orientation and in-person predeparture orientation.
