Program Description:
To complete a successful application for this program, students must complete Aztecs Abroad and the MICEFA host application simultaneously. Students must submit the MICEFA host application to the Study Abroad Advisor.

MICEFA confirms acceptance and participation in the program.

This four-week program welcomes all levels of French and consists of daily French language classes taken with other American and European students at the Institut de Langue et de Cultures Françaises (ILCF) at the Institut Catholique de Paris.

This program is an excellent way to garner French skills, improve oral comprehension and gain university credits over the summer!

  • Students will need to complete the Aztecs Abroad application then initiate the MICEFA host application due on May 1st. For any questions, contact the study abroad advisor.
  • 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Sophomore standing
  • Proficiency in the French language is NOT required. Classes at the Catholic Institute are available for complete beginners up to advanced speakers.

Housing options are outlined on the website. Students may choose between a shared dormitory (Cite U) and homestay (Atome).

  • There are two program options, and the program cost will depend on the program option that the student selects. Program options and their respective costs are outlined on their website.
  • All SDSU students are required by the Chancellor's office to be enrolled in the CSU Foreign Traveler Insurance Program (CSU FTIP) for the duration of their program abroad. The insurance charge will appear on the student's account services billing. Students will receive more detailed instructions regarding insurance before departure. For price information, click here

  • You must have a valid passport to participate on an exchange program. Your passport must be valid for the duration of the program and for at least 6 months past the program end date.
