Program Description:
Osnabruck University is a dynamic place to study, offering a broad range of courses with strong research and quality credentials. The University is an integral part of a vibrant city that is rich in tradition and culture. The University is renowned for its excellent standards in academic supervision. In addition, the programs prepare graduates excellently for the national and international labor market, offering them outstanding job prospects. With theaters, museums, movie theaters and numerous exhibitions, Osnabrück provides its students with a rich cultural offering.

In 2017 Osnabrück University offers two Summer Schools. All of them have a joint cultural program as well as a course specific program.

Program Dates: July 7-30
Program Cost: €1,500 (approx. $1,700) Price includes: tuition, German language and culture course, course materials, housing, an International Facetime experience, excursions, cultural program, and a meal subsidy.

Osnabrück offers a wide range of cultural locations and recreational activities: Museums, historic sights and picturesque landscapes give you a large variety of options. As part of the program, you will discover quite a few of them. You will, for example, go on a Night-Watchmen tour to explore downtown Osnabrück's historic highlights.

In addition to the program in Osnabrück, all participants will go on a weekend trip to Germany's capital Berlin. They have also incorporated a day trip to Bremen in our program. Bremen is a cute city, known from the fairy tell of the Town Musicians of Bremen. Last but not least you will do some spectacular mudflat hiking at the shores of the North Sea.

You can choose between the following courses:
  • Biomembranes & Cellular Microcompartments (Only recommended for students with strong background in Science)
  • Intercultural Competencies (Very limited space, will fulfill GE Explorations, Social & Behavioral Sciences/Cultural Diversity) 
Each summer course is equivalent to 3 SDSU summer units.
