Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales is a social sciences institution which opens its doors to those willing to share new experiences in other horizons, offering a range of options for their academic, cultural and social education. Courses are taught mostly in Spanish and there are very few classes taught in English.
To be successful in the program, students must have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college-level Spanish. All applicants must meet the language prerequisites by the end of the semester prior to departure.
Heritage speakers of Spanish can have a Language Proficiency Recommendation Report completed by the Spanish department in the Aztecs Abroad application to verify language ability.
The general program dates are:
Spring semester (semester 1 in Argentina): March - July
Fall semester (semester 2 in Argentina): August - December

Housing and Meals
UCES does not have any on-campus accommodations but they will provide you with information about finding off-campus housing or a host family after you are formally accepted.
All SDSU students are required by the Chancellor's office to be enrolled in the CSU Foreign Traveler Insurance Program (CSU FTIP) for their program abroad.
The insurance charge will appear on the student's account services billing. Students will receive more detailed instructions regarding insurance before departure. For more information on costs, refer to the website.
Passport and Visa
You must have a valid passport to participate on an exchange program. Your passport must be valid for the duration of the program and for at least 6 months past the program end date to be eligible to receive a student visa.

on entry/exit requirements for Argentina. If you hold a passport from a country other than the U.S., be sure to understand what you will need for entry pertaining to your citizenship at the time of participation.
