Housing and Meals
Students who attend for the whole academic year are guaranteed on-campus accommodation as long as they apply by the deadline. See the Aston University Accommodation

webpage for more details. Students attending in Teaching Period 2 (arriving in January) may apply for on-campus accommodation, but allocation is not guaranteed. Off-campus, there are many accommodation opportunities and the Advice and Representation Centre in the Students' Guild is happy to provide advice on locating them.

All SDSU students will be automatically enrolled in the appropriate international health insurance for their study abroad term. The insurance charge will appear on your student account services billing shortly before departure. Students will receive more detailed instructions regarding insurance before departure.
All U.S. citizens studying in the United Kingdom for one semester (less than six months)
are not required to apply for a visa. However, students going for a full academic year (more than six months)
are required to apply for a Tier 4 Student visa. Please see the UK Border Agency
