Program Description:
University Profile
Toyo Eiwa University was opened on the Yokohama campus in 1989 and accessible in about one hour by train from Central Tokyo. Since its foundation by the Methodist Church of Canada in the late nineteenth century, Toyo Eiwa has developed into a comprehensive institution providing women’s education from kindergarten through to university level. Currently, there are approximately 2,500 students enrolled in the university. Toyo Eiwa University is working hard to develop partner institutions abroad, and fosters character development based on the spirit of Christianity and holds a daily service in the on-campus chapel.

Academic Notes
Note: Students wishing to study at Toyo Eiwa University must study at the school for a full academic year.

Insurance Requirement
All SDSU students will be automatically enrolled in the appropriate international health insurance for their study abroad term. The insurance charge will appear on your student account services billing shortly before departure. Students will receive more detailed instructions regarding insurance before departure.
