University Profile
In 2013, KEDGE was created by the merger of two renowned Business Schools, BEM-Bordeaux and Euromed- Marseilles, two leading French business schools triple crowned EQUIS/AMBA/AACSB. KEDGE Business school is committed to creating new modes of teaching and personal development, connecting and strengthening its global community network and promoting responsible management practices.

Academic Profile
All SDSU students must enroll in at least 24 ECTS (European credits)/ 12 semester units at SDSU to be considered full-time while studying abroad. Typically, a maximum of 30 ECTS (15 units) may be taken. 2 ECTS are equivalent to 1 SDSU semester unit.

Students may only enroll in courses in the IBBA and Bachelor programme. Please refer to the Bachelor Course Offer 2018-2019 (IBBA KEDGE Bachelor) MRS.pdf and the course articulation provided by the Fowler College of Business for course equivalents.

Language Notes
While French language is not required, at least one semester of French is recommended before departure to help you acclimate into life in France. Most of the classes offered are in English and French.

French language courses are available at different levels.

Program Dates
The general dates for each semester are:
Fall semester: September to December
Spring semester:  January to June
Academic Year: September to June
Housing and Meals
The school does not own dormitories on the Bordeaux campus but works with Domofrance which runs a student residence located on campus. However, places are very limited especially during the Fall semester and only cover 5% of the exchange student's demand. Housing on campus is not guaranteed.

Off-campus housing is available and KEDGE provides resources to students. More information here.

Insurance Requirement
All SDSU students are required by the Chancellor's office to be enrolled in the CSU Foreign Traveler Insurance Program (CSU FTIP) for their program abroad. The insurance charge will appear on the student's account services billing. Students will receive more detailed instructions regarding insurance before departure. For more information on costs, refer to the website.

Students under the age of 28 are also required to register with French national health insurance or social security in order to see a doctor or obtain medication while in France. The cost for this is approximately 215 euros for the university year.

Passport and Visa
You must have a valid passport to participate on an exchange program. Your passport must be valid for the duration of the program and for at least 6 months past the program end date to be eligible to receive a student visa.

Exchange students are required to obtain a French student visa to study in France. Visit the website for the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles to get information about visa requirements for France. Students will receive more information on the French student visa process once they have been nominated for the program.  If you hold a passport from a country other than the U.S., be sure to understand what you will need for entry pertaining to your citizenship at the time of participation.

Please note, if you plan to travel to other countries during your stay in France, be sure you are aware of the requirements for entry. Visit the Department of State website for more details for each country.
