San Diego State University takes health and safety matters for international programs very seriously. We encourage all students and their families to review the following information to better prepare for a safe and productive international experience.

All students are required to follow these health and safety policies prior to and during their international program:

• Attend SDSU pre-departure orientation meetings regarding health & safety and program-specific preparations
• Maintain adequate health insurance coverage at all times while abroad. 
• Register in the U.S. Department of State Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)
• Follow the official SDSU student code of conduct
