Program Description:

To complete a successful application for this program, students must complete Aztecs Abroad and the Sciences Po Summer School host application simultaneously. Courses are open to admitted students on a first-come, first-served basis and will be closed when they are full.  Candidates are therefore encouraged to apply in advance to ensure availability in their first-choice class, if they are admitted. 

Sciences Po confirms acceptance and participation in the program.

ACADEMIC PROFILE
          June session: June 2-25, 2020 (application online due April 15)
          July session: June 24- July 24, 2020 (application online due May 15)

LOCATION SUMMARY
Held at the Sciences Po Paris Campus, the French and Social Sciences Summer School takes full advantage of its location at the heart of the French capital. Classroom learning is extended through trips to historic sites, Parisian neighborhoods, and a variety of cultural events.

ACADEMIC NOTES
  • Each session will feature core courses in the Social sciences track and the French language track
  • Students may only take one track per session. Students who participate in two sessions may choose the same track for both months, or elect to change tracks for the second session.
  • In addition, students may take an optional elective course for an additional cost during each track, which provides students to delve more deeply into a subject of interest or a new topic.
 

PROGRAM COSTS AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENT

  • Participants pay tuition and fees directly to Sciences Po Summer School. Check the website for an itemized list of program fees and estimated expenses.
  • All SDSU students are required by the Chancellor's office to be enrolled in the CSU Foreign Traveler Insurance Program (CSU FTIP) for the duration of their program abroad. The insurance charge which will appear on the student's account services billing. Students will receive more detailed instructions regarding insurance before departure. 


PASSPORT AND VISA

  • You must have a valid passport to participate on an exchange program. Your passport must be valid for the duration of the program and for at least 6 months past the program end date. 
  • If you plan to travel to other countries during your stay in France, be sure you are aware of the requirements for entry. Visit the Department of State website for more details for each country.
