Program Description:
ACADEMIC NOTES
The International Summer Program (ISP) is a unique opportunity to learn Korean and experience Korean culture through activities and field trips related to topics discusses in lectures. Students may participate in Session 1, Session 2 or both sessions!
 
LANGUAGE NOTES
Subject courses are taught in English. 

PROGRAM DATES
  • Session 1 typically takes place in Late June to late July.
  • Session 2 typically takes place late July to late August. 
  • Refer to the website for accurate program dates.

HOUSING AND MEALS
On-campus accommodation is provided for students.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Students will be nominated by SDSU after submission of Aztecs Abroad application. Students may proceed to apply on the CAU website. Students will be required to upload the following documents to their CAU application:
  • Online Application
  • Official university transcripts
  • One passport-size photo (formats: .jpeg or .jpg)
  • Color copy of passport identity page
  • Official letter of nomination from SDSU (provided upon nomination)
  • TB test (Tuberculosis test) results - after nomination 

INSURANCE REQUIREMENT
  • All SDSU students are required by the Chancellor's office to be enrolled in the CSU Foreign Traveler Insurance Program (CSU FTIP) for their program abroad.
  • The insurance charge which will appear on the student's account services billing. 
  • Students will receive more detailed instructions regarding insurance before departure. For more information on costs, refer to the CSU FTIP website.

PASSPORT AND VISA
  • You must have a valid passport to participate on an exchange program. Your passport must be valid for the duration of the program and for at least 6 months past the program end date. 
  • If you plan to travel to other countries during your stay in Korea, be sure you are aware of the requirements for entry. Visit the Department of State website for more details for each country.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
  • Apply via Aztecs Abroad by clicking "Apply Now", and
  • Apply directly on the website no later than the CAU application deadline(s) for each session.
